ClipFinder HD

The DownloadManager offers the possibility to define default formats and default paths for your downloads. Just select the format (flv, mp3, etc.) you prefer and a storage location. Just define a path and your favorite format and save your files with these settings from now on automatically. Just click at your favorite format and it will move to  position number 1 in the list. Thus, it will be the favorite format to download in the future. If this format is not available, the second choice will be downloaded.

Please keep in mind that the quality of a converted file (e.g. mp3) depends on the quality of the  source file (usually flv)! If you convert e.g. a music video with a poor audio track the converted mp3-file won’t sound perfectly.

How to download HD videos

HD videos offer an excellent quality and can be downloaded (of course) like the other videos. There is only one thing special about them: HD videos are only available as MP4 videos at the portals and should be saved in this format to keep the quality! If a HD video is saved as (e.g.) .flv this will cause a massive loss of quality.

How to download, choose a format and convert manually

Ashampoo ClipFinder HD is now able to download files of different formats from the portals and to convert them to a different format. Other programs may need a bunch of menus to do so,  just needs the common “save as…”-dialogue.

To save a file the “save as..”-dialogue of Windows opens to define the storage location (as usual) and the file type. The selection of the file type is the crucial point because the Ashampoo ClipFinder HD offers more than the simple flv-format.
